Sunday, August 21, 2011. As we end this course and do this final blog I have learned quite a bit from my classmates and from reading the different articles and journals that was assigned to us. I leave this course with new knowledge and full of information about early childhood education. My one goal would be to continue to help families to help themselves for the better and to help the children who are in need also. Friday, August 17, 2012. Finding My Part to be Played. I began the journey to determine my part to be played in this arena of early childhood education only 594 days ago. Along the way, I have learned so many things about myself, the field, and the vast amount of work that still needs to be done. When I began the program, my specialization was public policy and advocacy. I soon decided that my passions lied closer to the front lines and so I changed to teaching adults. Saturday, March 2, 2013. This course has been a challenged for me. I have learned so many things throughout this course. I learned to challenged my thinking by going into dept and improving my writing skills. Dr Terri has given me inspiration to not give up. At one point in the course I felt like I had to withdraw from school. With prayer and a email form Dr. Terri, I continue my goal and was determined to try harder. Thursday, April 19, 2012. Lifelong learning is truly time well spent. I have become so much more alert to issues that not only affect young children, but those that inform about adult learning. I have had a deep interest in early childhood since I became a mother twenty five years ago, and then as I learned about child care as an owner and director of a center. I must remember that adults learn best when the materials are presented in a pleasing manner, evoking positive emotions that make the information.
